Vienna, or Wien, the capital of Austria, is perhaps the most famous city in the country. With about 1,8 million inhabitants it is also by far the largest, with history that dates back to 500 B.C. Between matches you will be busy taking in the culture with theatre, opera, classical music and fine arts. Vienna hotels are plenty and in all price ranges.
The massive Ernst-Happel-Stadion can fill 50,000 spectators and will be hosting the final for the Euro 2008 championship. Transport to and from your hotel is excellent as the stadium has its own underground connection.
