Geneva, or Genéve, is the second largest city in Switzerland. Geneva is located very close to the French border in the most western part of Switzerland. Many large organizations, like the UN, WTO and WHO, have their main offices here. Hotels close to the city centre can be rather expensive but many hotels are located elsewhere outside Geneva as well.
The main stadium in Geneva is called Stade de Genève and sits only 3 kilometres from the city centre, close to the French border. It boasts 30,000 seats and is very modern, opened as late as 2003. It also has its own hotel, but expect prices to be quite expensive during the Euro 2008.
